2012 Planned Litters

I am planning 2 very exciting litters this year.

1.  First, Divet has been bred to Robby with this litter expected March 18, 2012.  We should get confirmation of pregnancy about Feb 18th.  Divet is a Rose (see Rose's page for titles)X MACH 3 Quirk daughter with a pedigree that reads like a who's who in American performance Border Collies.  She has had one previous litter, 3 years ago.  The pups from her first litter have already made a spectacular mark in agility and obedience with 2 nearing their agility Championships and 2 starting a herding career shortly.  Divet is Bi-Black, classically marked with dark eyes, non-white factored, red-factored, tri-factored and stands at 19" in height.  She has beautifully balanced structure with correct legs, shoulder layback and angulation and nice width in her chest, a gorgeous head set and loaded with personality and expression. She has always had a very unflappable temperament, very bright and quick, with an easy to live with style.  She also has a jet engine ready to work anytime.  She has solid health clearances (see her webpage).

I've been waiting to bring Robby into the Patriot lines for quite some time.  We tried to plan a Divet X Robby breeding last year, but the flu and a massive snow storm just didn't let that happen.  So I am so excited that the breeding is on track for this year.  Robby is impressive, not only in that he brings to the table an impeccable pedigree full of notable obedience Border Collies but he is just a dream fellow in structure, temperament and pizzazz.  Like Divet, Robby is Bi-Black, non-white factored, red-factored and tri-factored. We could have Blacks, Reds, and Tri pups from this litter.

2.  Singe (Rising Sun Patriot Mochamotion) will be bred to Pace depending on timing with Divet's coming spring litter.  This will be a repeat breeding.  Rather than go into details here, please go to their first litter's page.  The pups expected should be much like these.

If you are interested in obtaining a Patriot puppy, the information below will

give you an idea of what our process is in placing our puppies.

Puppy Placement Information

Note:  To prospective buyers looking for puppies primarily as companion pets :  Please understand that even though I emphasize biddability and stable temperament,  I  breed to produce dogs for competition and working ability.  As such, my dogs generally are more intense and have stronger drive than the average companion dog.  If you are a prospective pet owner looking for a house dog that would have little opportunity for intense exercise and training, my dogs would not likely be the ideal candidate for your home.

Welcome.... to the Patriot Hill Farm Puppy Inquiry page.  If you would like more information about how to obtain a puppy from one of our upcoming litters, please read the paragraph below.

Due to the overwhelming interest in Patriot litters, I do not promise any puppy to any individual until until I make a final selection as to which puppy(ies) I may keep in my own training/breeding program.   The puppies will be aptitude tested and evaluated (using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test format at the 49th day of age).   I don't take deposits to hold a pup and I don't do "waiting or reservations" lists.

I encourage and accept puppy applications any time.  I prefer to receive applications well before the 4th week old period so that I have time to check references and develop a relationship with you as a prospective client.  When the puppies are 4 weeks old I will begin reviewing the applications in anticipation of a puppy match.  If you are interested in obtaining a Patriot puppy, just complete the application  Application, Contract  and either mail or email it to me at Patriot Hill Farm, Jana Brady, 605 Mt. Olivet Church Rd, Elkton. VA 22827 or patriothillfarmbc@verizon.net          You must be 18 years or older to purchase a puppy from Patriot Hill Farm.  Submission of an application package DOES NOT guarantee a puppy offer.

The purpose of the Application is get some information about you and what you are looking for in a puppy and why you want a Patriot puppy.  I will use this information solely to try to match your desires with the right puppy for you.   Once I make a recommendation to you for a particular puppy, you may decline or accept.  In many cases, I prefer to place puppies with established performance handlers.  Keep in mind that my puppies come from proven obedience, agility and herding lines so the puppy that you apply for will need a career in addition to being a family dog.  If you have previously earned performance titles on another dog, please be sure to put that on your application so that I can make a more suitable match.

In order to be fair with everyone that has expressed a strong desire to have a puppy from a particular Patriot litter, I will work with each applicant individually if I think there is a possibility of a good match.   I will work with you until either a puppy is agreed upon and I receive a written acceptance of my puppy offer from you or ...I determine that there is no suitable puppy that meets your desires.   Any deposits paid by the applicant at the time the offer is accepted by you becomes non-refundable.

Once the puppy is selected and accepted, the full balance of the payment is due prior to release (or shipment) to the new owner.  If the puppy is to be shipped via commercial transportation, I prefer that the puppy is shipped between 7 and 8 weeks of age.  Depending on the time of year, shipment by air transportation may not be possible so arrangements must be made to pick the puppy up.  Please understand that I will not release a puppy to anyone other than the new owner other than airline personnel for commercial shipment.  In other words, "friends" can not pick up your puppy for you.  Any deposits received by me at the time of receipt of written acceptance from you of a puppy offer, is not refundable but may be used toward the purchase of a puppy from a future litter.

Pricing:   Dependent on each specific breeding but generally puppies range from $800 - $1,200.
