Katie is out of Rose's first litter by Lockeye Bronze. She is a medium to light rough coated, medium red girl with nice bone and balanced structure with exceptional body control (like her Mom). At 2 years old, she stands approximately 19 1/4" at the withers. Katie was my "pick" puppy to keep from Rose's litter. She will be a tough competitor in the agility ring when she makes her debut after her first breeding sometime in 2004.
Whelped February 18, 2002, Katie was delivered with her little legs in full motion and they haven't stopped yet. She was the first to learn how to bring her food bowl to me at feeding time and the first to learn how to "herd" basketballs at 7 weeks of age. At 3 months, she learned how to open the latch on the kennel gate just by watching me. She is inquisitive, lightning quick, a very fast learner like her Mom, and a joy to be around. When I first encouraged the puppies to explore the agility baby teeter-totter, table and baby A-frame, she crawled right up and boldly showed the boys how it should be done. She is a very enthusiastic worker and delights in showing me all her accomplishments. When I let her out to go to the potty area in the morning, she will detour just so she can jump something on the way there.
